Everything you see in the picture is misleading. I bought this fish, and it had absolutely no roe, even though the manufacturer claims it does. It also wasn’t fresh and had a rusty, metallic taste. Terrible quality, especially for the price.

Regarding your claim about the roe, you ordered Far Eastern smelt, a product that is typically sold with roe, particularly when it is the large, roe-bearing variety. Therefore, we are surprised by your statement that the fish contained no roe.

Smelt is my favorite fish . It was pretty good but not perfectly fresh no issues but a bit aged more dried then usual. Bream was great fatty and delicious. Thank you anyway
