Everything you see in the picture is misleading. I bought this fish, and it had absolutely no roe, even though the manufacturer claims it does. It also wasn’t fresh and had a rusty, metallic taste. Terrible quality, especially for the price.
All of our product photos are original and taken by us, and we make every effort to ensure that our products accurately match the pictures shown on our website.
Regarding your claim about the roe, you ordered Far Eastern smelt, a product that is typically sold with roe, particularly when it is the large, roe-bearing variety. Therefore, we are surprised by your statement that the fish contained no roe.
We understand that everyone’s taste and preferences are different, and you are absolutely entitled to your opinion if you did not enjoy the product. However, we believe that reviews should accurately reflect the product received and that claims should be based on facts.
We take the quality of our products and the trust of our customers seriously, and we stand behind the authenticity of our product photos and descriptions.
Smelt is my favorite fish . It was pretty good but not perfectly fresh no issues but a bit aged more dried then usual. Bream was great fatty and delicious. Thank you anyway
Absolutely delicious and fresh! The fish is well-dried, perfectly salted, and filled with roe.
Delicious!!!
Dried smelt was all with roe and it was delicious.
